Fees & Responsibilities

Full membership: 

  • $100 per month, or $80 per month if you stay from September to June (at the end of the year, you will get refunded $200, or $20 per month if you joined mid-year)
  • you get full access to centre *
  • you can get a key ($50 refundable deposit)
  • if you have not returned your key by the 10th of the month, you are considered a member for that month
  • free rentals (as long as you don’t bump paying renters)
  • you have to take two cleaning weekends per year- one in each term (September-December and January-June)
  • you have to participate in daily cleaning and maintenance
  • you are encouraged to organize or help with at least one 4-week session per year
  • you must give post-dated cheques or sign up for automatic payments via PayPal here

* Exceptions:

  • Thursdays are for “Double Digits” only, which means young people 10 and up (once integrated, they can be dropped off at the centre on Thursdays)
  • if a weekday becomes too crowded on a regular basis, we may have to close that weekday to new families
  • when going to the centre off-hours, please check the calendar to see that there are no other events taking place

 

Part-time membership: 

  • $60 per month, or $50 per month if you stay from September to June (at the end of the year, you will get refunded $100, or $10 per month if you joined mid-year)
  • you can come one day per week and you have to pick your day (if a weekday becomes too crowded on a regular basis, we may have to close that weekday to new families)
  • drop in on other days for $15
  • Halloween, Christmas and year end parties are free
  • you have to take one cleaning weekend per year
  • you have to participate in daily cleaning and maintenance
  • you are encouraged to organize or help with at least one 4-week session per year
  • you must give post-dated cheques or sign up for automatic payments via PayPal here

 

Drop ins: 

  • $20 per day ($10 per evening for Fridays from 4pm to 8pm)
  • you have to call ahead to see if there is room for more families: 514-394-0855
  • you might not be able to participate in planned activities
  • you will be assigned a clean up job upon arrival

 

New families:

  • because the centre is getting close to its capacity, we are only accepting new members whose oldest child is at least 5 years old
  • see the calendar of activities to see which days you would like to try

  • drop in fees during the first week can be put towards the first month of membership

 

Low income families :

  • any family who is unable to pay the full fee may apply to the Board of Directors for a reduced membership using this form.
  • families paying a reduced rate must join the fundraising committee or find other ways to contribute to the good of Communidée
  • in order to cover our basic expenses (rent, insurance and phone), we cannot accept more than 5 reduced memberships per year
