Atelier Communidée is a community workshop for families with children 7+ and individual artists looking to work in a collaborative space. We are set up with basic woodworking tools, a pottery wheel and kiln, several sewing machines, a knitting machine, a small loom, and various supplies and treasures aimed to inspire building and fixing projects. We have small amounts of wood, clay and fabric for sale, or bring your own materials.
We serve the Montreal homeschooling community weekdays from 10am to 4pm, and are open to the wider community in the evenings and weekends. Full members of the Atelier can come weekdays after 4pm and weekends for $50 per family per month. They can also rent lockers and shelf space to store their projects and supplies. Non-members can drop in by appointment for $10 per person or $15 per family.
We also organize regular sharing sessions, project or skill workshops, and invite guest makers to show their work.
Atelier Communidée aims to help children and adults alike find confidence in gaining real work skills and experiences, and supports a “can-do” attitude.
